The Electronic Theses and Dissertations at Virgina Tech is a cooperative effort between the Graduate School and the University Libraries. Since 1997, there has been a move from paper theses and dissertations to electronic format which is now a requirement for graduation.

The document you are about to research, write, defend and publish is complex to say the least. We suggest that you begin by looking over this site carefully before you start writing your document. You should also look over the Lifecycle and the Timeline to give you a sense of how to best coordinate your efforts.
